Culture and Entertainment
Lublin isn’t just a place of tourist attractions, it’s also an important place of cultural events. We can find numerous theatres, cinemas and cultural centres with a rich repertoire here. Apart from that, there are plenty of original art galleries and interesting museums.
Musical Theatre in Lublin
The theatre’s repertoire includes various types of shows - musicals, operettas, ballets, concerts and performances for the youngest. It is the only opera-operetta theatre on the right side of the Vistula, playing operas, operettas, musicals, ballets and musical tales. Musical Theatre has over 70 years of tradition. The permanent repertoire of the theatre includes performances such as "Carmen" by G. Bizet, "The Haunted Manor" by S. Moniuszko.
The Old Theatre in Lublin
It was the first permanent theatre in Lublin and one of the first in Poland. It was erected in 1822 according to the project of Łukasz Rodakiewicz - the theatre’s owner. The building received modest classical details: arcades, masks and griffins. At the beginning of the 20th century, the building was adapted for a cinema. The screenings took place until the 1980s and from then on, the building gradually fell into disrepair. Thorough renovation works completed in 2012 restored the Old Theatre to its former glory days. Currently, we can find performances, concerts and cultural meetings in the repertoire. The theatre has a Cinema as well.

Juliusz Osterwa Theatre
The theatre was built in the years 1884-86 in the eclectic style, according to the design of Karol Kozłowski. Despite several renovations, the building retains its original architecture from the time of the fin de siecle, visible in the façade of the building and the interior design of the hall and the auditorium. The theatre, in which performances are performed with the participation of great actors, plays the role of one of the most important culture-making centres of Lublin and the Lublin region.

Labirynt Gallery
Labirynt Gallery is an urban cultural institution in which, inspired by the name, we can ‘get lost’ in the labirynth of art. The gallery presents the classics of contemporary art, sustains an inquisitive look at the present and the search for universal values in art. Therefore, the Gallery tries to be a careful observer of changes taking place in the field of art and an active participant in artistic processes that is open to new phenomena. The program of the Gallery returns the performance art, which becomes as important as the exhibition program.
